Maureen Denise McCormick, the sole daughter from Richard McCormick, and Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. Her father was a teacher as did her mother, who was a domestic worker. Michael Dennis Kevin is her the third of her siblings. McCormick was a gifted artist and singer from the age of 6. Her passion was to put on shows with puppets for her neighbors. The fairytale story of her rise to fame started when she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest in the age group of 6. This led to a call from talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who asked whether she wanted to be in show business. McCormick was offered her first gig as a leading actress in the year 1964. McCormick was in an ad campaign for Mattels' newest doll Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she starred in another commercial for Mattels Chatty Cathy doll and was soon cast in the play The Wind It up until It is Broken on stage at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick won an audition in 1969 from over 1200 kids to be the youngest of three twins in the TV series The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed with Robert Reed. The show ran for 5 seasons. McCormick admitted in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published in 2008) that McCormick nearly lost her Virginity in the hands of Barry Williams during the five-year period on the program. In 2008, she revealed in her book Heres the Truth: surviving Marcia Brady and Identifying My True Voice that in season five on the show, she nearly lost her virginity to actor Barry Williams. This timing wouldn't have had worked out for us, she told me.
